– ( 3138543 ) nn nn Reporting to theManaging Director, Donor Relations, the Senior Director will workcollaboratively with colleagues across teams to advise and lead theimplementation of individualized stewardship plans, programs and otherdeliverables, both virtual and in-person, during the Campaign for Mass Generaland beyond.

The Senior Director will also oversee annual endowment and currentuse fund impact reporting.

nn nn PrimaryResponsibilities nn nn Managethe strategy and execution of a comprehensive and individualized stewardshipand engagement program for major and principal gift donors nn nn Lead,coach and mentor staff; cultivate a team-oriented culture of achievement; guidegoal-setting; provide meaningful and timely performance evaluations nn nn Partnerwith Development Talent Management to recruit, hire and onboard for vacantpositions, ensuring diversity, equity and inclusiveness in hiring andrecruiting practices nn nn Developstrategic and collaborative partnerships with fundraisers to create and executecustomized stewardship products and experiences nn nn Managea portfolio of select transformational campaign donors (8-figures and above) nn nn Explorethe use of digital technology and new media to enhance stewardship deliverables nn nn Collaboratewith and advise colleagues on gift-related announcements, celebrations, donorprofiles and recognition communications nn nn Createvirtual engagement opportunities for principal gift donor giving societymembers, while re-imagining this cohort’s activities and communications in thecontext of the Campaign for Mass General, in partnership with fundraisers andevents colleagues.

nn nn Serveas a subject matter expert on major and principal gift stewardship by staying informedof new practices, trends and opportunities in donor relations and stewardshipand encourage the adoption of innovative strategies nn nn Utilizemetrics to asses effectiveness of managed programs and continuously evaluateand streamline stewardship processes and reporting nn nn Overseethe development and implementation of a scalable endowment and current-usestewardship program to efficiently and effectively share the impact of thedonor’s philanthropy nn nn Reviewand edit annual fund financial and narrative reports and other major giftstewardship communications nn nn Workclosely with the Senior Director of Development, Communications to coordinatewriting support for stewardship activities, reviewing and editingcommunications as needed nn nn Engageappropriately and respectfully with hospital staff and colleagues nn nn Serveas an ardent and visible advocate for the Donor Relations team and as a keypartner in fundraising efforts, build strong relationships with other teams andhospital departments nn nn Prepareand regularly update progress reports nn Contribute to maintaining positive office morale, even in the face of high work volume and challenging periods Lead recruitment activities for open positions within the program in partnership with the Talent Management team, and participate in other departmental recruitment efforts as needed Take on other office-wide duties at the request of Development leadership Adhere to the mission, credo, and standards of behavior of Mass General Hospital nn nn Thisposition requires 10 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree.

We arelooking for someone with experience in fundraising, donor relations orstewardship in an academic, healthcare or higher education setting, ideallywith at least 7 years of management experience.

We are also looking for someonewho is familiar with privacy-related rules and regulations, including HIPAA,and can operate within strict privacy and confidentiality rules.

Experienceworking in the context of a fundraising campaign is also preferred.
