HR Director- Manufacturing

This is a Full-time position in Forest Park, GA posted May 28, 2021.

Our client is a leading Manufacturing organization and they wish to hire an HR Director to lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits and leave, and company policies and practices.

Essential duties will include:

• Manage essential functions of the HR department.

• Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Ensure policies are updated and address key areas of exposure.

• Partner with leadership team to understand and execute organization’s talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

• Provide support and guidance to HR, Leadership Team, and other employees.

• Manage talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

• Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure organization attracts and retains top talent.

• Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.

• Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.

• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Job Requirements: –

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a big plus
• 5+ years’ HR experience
• Manufacturing multi-site environment preferred
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel
• Experience administering fully or partially self-funded benefits program
• Working knowledge of ADP Payroll systems is a plus

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a big plus

• 5+ years’ HR experience

• Manufacturing multi-site environment preferred

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel

• Experience administering fully or partially self-funded benefits program
