Check out the traits we’re looking for and see if you have the right mix.nn nLife at Takedan nA Global Top Employern nnRecognized for our culture and way of working, we’re one of only select companies to receive Top Global Employer ® status for 2020.nn nn Job ID R0024327 Date posted 10/27/2020 Location Boston, Massachusetts nn nnThe TAK-007 Digital Patient Centricity role will lead digital patient strategy and its execution for Takeda’s leading cell therapy project, TAK-007, supporting the clinical strategy as defined in the Clinical Development Plan (CDP).nn nnIn close collaboration with the TAK-007 Global Project Leader, Clinical Operations Leader, other key functions, and Digital Strategy colleagues, the Digital Patient Centricity role will:nn Work with key stakeholders and experts to define TAK-007 digital innovation strategy and patient centricity initiatives to drive differentiation, service solutions (Drugs Plus), and patient engagement for cell therapy long term follow-up In collaboration with TAK-007 Global Project Team and Data Sciences Institute, work to align CAR-NK platform objectives for major digital initiatives, products, and programs that drive data generation and acceleration of the project through the use of digital health and decentralized trial and patient engagement technologies Build external and internal capabilities and relationships with digital, technical, and external partners in support of Scientific and Digital Innovation team mission and vision Provide business leadership through the evaluation and proposal process in identifying and vetting external partners and proposals for new digital pilots and programs nnFurthermore, the role will engage with the broader Data Sciences Institute community within Takeda and participate in global initiatives representing digital strategy in support of Takeda R&D objectives.nn nn ACCOUNTABILITIES: nn Work transversally with stakeholders and project team members to ensure innovative approaches are utilized for key clinical challenges, leading to improved patient outcomes and impact, such as the identification of digital biomarkers Collaborate broadly to characterize digital service offerings for patients and caregivers Identify innovative ways to optimally support patients with digital health, particularly for long-term follow-up Deeply understand the target patient population, journey, and CDP to customize meaningful services and support for patients and to maximize value and to realize Takeda’s overall vision Serve as the point person (both internally and externally) for all digital patient strategy-related activities, managing critical path activities, proactively identifying issues, resolving conflicts, and communicating project-related challenges / issues Recognize and stimulate internal and external ideas with high potential impact; apply unique skills and interests to develop new opportunity domains Play a leadership role in development and completion of major data analysis deliverables and milestones in collaboration with other functions Provide digital leadership and support for internal decision making, regulatory meetings, submissions and follow-up Collaborate/lead in the development of compound/program-level sourcing/vendor strategies and provide oversight of digital services, ensuring overall quality Assess, communicate, and propose solutions for internal, external resource and/or quality issues that may impact deliverables/timeline at the program level Provide input for planning and management of external budgets related to digital deliverables Maintain current cell therapy landscape knowledge and continually assesses impact of new and evolving information on biomarker strategies Acts as a role model for Takeda’s values nn EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: nn nn Education: nn PhD / Other advanced degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience nn Required: nn At least 6 years of relevant academic/industrial experience Demonstrated experience in and expert knowledge across digital health / innovation / technology Hands-on experience with and strong interest in Cell Therapy, Oncology, Immunology Deep expertise and experience in the deployment of decentralized and virtual trial methodologies, study designs, technologies and regulatory considerations for global studies nn Knowledge and Skills: nn Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, overall drug development process with expertise in the cross-functional interfaces with the Statistics function High degree of familiarity with use of digital health technology tools (DHTTs), including remote sensing and measurement tools Experience with the adaptation of digital tools and technologies for patient engagement, recruitment and support Demonstrated ability to build consensus and drive resolution of issues while maintaining positive working relationships across functions; negotiation and strong persuasive abilities Strong written and verbal Communication Skills: ability to express oneself clearly and concisely to external partners, vendors or with others within the team; ability to message key issues appropriately and document issues and/or concerns concisely and comprehensively; ability to adjust language and/or terminology appropriate for the audience; demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate / present key information to senior management Analytical and Problem Solving Skills: ability to identify the critical issues of problems or opportunities using appropriate information;
