The transaction is expected to close in early 2021, subject to required regulatory approvals and certain other customary closing conditions. nn nn POSITION OVERVIEW nn nnReporting to the Retirement Chief Compliance Officer, the Assistant Vice President (AVP) will support the Company’s compliance program, with a particular emphasis on Life and Annuity sales and marketing literature review.

The AVP will be a key support role within the Compliance team and will be responsible to manage the advertising and marketing material review process.

This individual will have sound understanding of the application of regulatory obligations.

The individual will be expected to partner with the business and use sound judgment while maintaining a strong relationship with internal clients.nn nn Work Experience nn nnThe AVP will join the Global Atlantic Compliance team (in Hartford, CT, New York City, NY, Brighton, MA or Des Moines, IA) and will be responsible for leading the day-to-day management and coordination of the Retirement Division sales and marketing literature review and approval program.

A successful candidate should have extensive experience in the regulation of life insurance companies and retail Broker/Dealer firms, with particular expertise in state and FINRA regulatory requirements pertaining to life insurance and annuity advertising.nn nn RESPONSIBILITIES nn Manage the relationship with the Marketing team to ensure projects and materials are reviewed in alignment with stated review deadlines.

Serve as Global Atlantic’s primary advertising review principal.

Understand Global Atlantic’s business processes, products and regulatory obligations and applying that understanding to material review consistently.

Partner with, and provide, timely guidance to the business so materials are appropriate for the audience and comply with regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with key stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, Product and Legal.

Maintain policies and procedures regarding marketing material content and review.

Create and maintain trending reporting to keep leadership apprised of review volume and status.

Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce workloads and improve quality for the review process Establish strong working relationships within the broader Legal and Compliance community across GAFG nn QUALIFICATIONS nn Bachelor’s Degree FINRA Series 6 and 26 (Series 7 and 24 a plus) At least (3 to 5 years) in a senior compliance oversight position within an insurance company of FINRA member firm.

Advanced knowledge of state insurance laws and FINRA rules applicable to advertising review and oversight.
